The first stage of the foundation is to create a BUNCH of cement piers, which requires first to dig a BUNCH of holes in the ground. The lot is so sandy and things are so dry, Jon (the builder) had to soak each hole with water so they wouldn't cave in on themselves before the cement was poured.
